Giant Barrel-Roll Toothless
Size: 6 inches
Distribution: Worldwide
Manufacturer: Spin Master (2017)
Another big boy! He's one of the best-looking Toothless figures yet, and comes with "realistic" feeling wings. Really they just feel kinda rubbery, but I guess they are meant to be like leathery wings. Either way, he's a very, very nice figure and I recommend him if you're a fan of Toothless (and who isn't?!)

Playmobil Sets
Size: 3-15 inches (larger for Berk)
Distribution: Worldwide
Manufacturer: Playmobil (Geobra) (2017-2018)
Complete set: Yes 11/11 (sets), 3/3 (magazine exclusives)
When these were first announced, quite a few friends were really excited. I never knew much about Playmobil, but apparently it is a fairly high quality toy line, so people were expecting some high quality Dragons stuff. And man, Playmobil did not disappoint! Each and every set has amazing attention to detail, and the characters look so cute! They really work well in this style! To top it all off, unlike most Dragons toys, they are very easy to find and very reasonably priced! I can say without a doubt that this is one of the best HTTYD toy lines ever!

Dragon Racing Playmobil
Size: 3-15 inches
Distribution: Worldwide
Manufacturer: Playmobil (Geobra) (2021)
Complete set: Yes 5/5
Out of the blue, Playmobil releases a new set! For the... second movie.... of Dragon Racing... you know, that thing that appeared in the film for like five minutes. I'm not actually a massive fan of the racing paint as I think they look gaudy and tacky - except for Stormfly and Hookfang. But, they are new Dragons sets! So I need them! The figures themselves are identical to before, but they have different colours. Obviously there's the racing paint, but the dragons themselves are darker or lighter than before, and Toothless seems to be kind of metallic-y. The Gobber and Sheep Race set was also re-advertised, but I haven't seen any proof that it actually exists in a new box; just the original one.

Action Vinyls
Size: 3-7 inches
Distribution: USA, Australia
Manufacturer: The Loyal Subjects (2017)
Complete set: No 19/25 (figures), Yes 3/3 (coins)
Finally started collecting these. Their high shipping price and annoying use of "we'll make the same figure 100 times with slight differences" (Hiccup but with snow on him? REALLY?!) put me off buying them, but then I realised they were making Hookfang soon so I better start picking up a few! Still, they are pretty nicely made figures, although not 100% accurate. Toothless is missing his 'butt wings', for example. You can pose them in almost any way though, which is nice, and the Viking figures do look really good. Ultimately I'd recommend these, but only the regular and racing variants. To release the same Hiccup figure you already made but this time he has snow on his head/shoulders is actually just insulting because it's not even an interesting variant.
"I love my Hiccup figure but man, I wish I had a figure of Hiccup covered in snow" - said no one, ever.
At least the different colours/racing stripes variants look really neat.
One addition that I do quite like is the random coins you can find with some figures. There's Hiccup, Astrid, and Toothless, and about 5 colours to get them in (I think they are bronze, gold, platinum, "ruby", "emerald", and "sapphire", but I can't remember off the top of my head!). They are kinda hard to find, but at least I got one of each character! I don't expect to get every character in every colour, so I set my goal as having one of each character - though I don't mind getting extras!

Blast and Roar Toothless
Size: 3.5 inches (without wings upright)
Distribution: Worldwide
Manufacturer: Spin Master (2015)
Another mega Toothless enters the fray! He's inevitably going to get compared to the Mega Alpha edition one, so I'll do it briefly now. He's not as big, and doesn't look as accurate, but he is still very cute! He also has foldable, posable wings and he makes some cute noises! His blue spines light up, which is great, and opening his mouth reveals cute lil teeth on the top and bottom! All in all, he's very well made and I highly recommend getting him! He's made in the same style as the Dragon Riders, but is much longer than any of them. The detail is great on him, and he's easily one of my favourite Toothless figures! But that might just be my incredible power glow bias talking...

Viking Warriors
Size: 4 inches
Distribution: Worldwide
Manufacturer: Spin Master (2014)
Complete set: Yes 3/3
Now these guys are worth their weight in gold! Sure, Drago looks like a gorilla-man, but Hiccup is so well made! Also well made? His accessories! You can tell they didn't cut corners here.
The second set is slightly less quality, with Eret's head being super duper tiny and Snotlout has horrific taste in trousers. Although Eret's dagger can actually fit in the sheath, and attach to his hip! Perfect!
I've also finally got my hands on Hiccup and Astrid! If we can learn anything from the past, it's that Astrid figures are stupidly rare and stupidly valuable, so get her while you can!

Power Dragons
Size: 6-7 inches
Distribution: Worldwide
Manufacturer: Spin Master (2014)
Complete set: Yes 18/18
Hmm, I still think the DoB line was the best Spin Master has ever put out. These are nice, but many Power Dragons are just repainted and Cloudjumper here isn't even painted properly, missing the colours on his face. Still, these are certainly nothing to complain about, they still look fantastic!
The racing stripes Stormfly is downright gorgeous too! Prettiest Nadder ever! It's also Skullcrusher's first ever proper figure, but man does he have teeny eyes.

Ionix Sets
Size: 1 inch-8.5 inches (not including box)
Distribution: Worldwide
Manufacturer: Ionix (Spin Master - 2014)
Complete set: Yes 6/6 (wave 1), 6/6 (wave 2), 5/5 (playsets)
These are a pain and a half to put together, let me tell you. Many a-finger was injured, curse words were shouted to the heavens above, but I finally got them set up. I have learned an important life lesson with this: I am utterly useless at Lego and all its ripoffs.
Still, this is certainly unique merchandise! Bring on the others!
And also that giant Toothless set is HUGE. SUPER HUGE. Like 3 TIMES the size of the others. He means business! The giant Nadder set is equally amazing, bringing us the very first Henchman figure, as well as a wonderful blocky Astrid.
Wave 2 has some species variants, but it is quite a rare set to find as it had a limited release.

Dragon Riders
Size: 2.5-6 inches
Distribution: Worldwide
Manufacturer: Spin Master (2015)
Complete set: Yes 12/12
The first figures of 2015! And they're not bad, either! Kind of chubby and chibi-ish, but still looking great! I absolutely ADORE this Hookfang, let me tell you. He's amazing, and my second or third favourite Nightmare of all time.
Toothless is a little weird, because he has two red tail fins for some reason. They've since released new ones that have been corrected, making him a very rare error version! The armoured dragon is also our first ever figure of a Thunderclaw!

Bewilderbeast: Final Battle Sets
Size: 3 inches (Toothless), 10 inches (Bewilderbeast)
Distribution: Worldwide
Manufacturer: Spin Master (2014)
Complete set: Yes 2/2
Oh man, I wish the Red Death had gotten one of these, it's still one of my favourite dragons. Oh well have a goofy-looking Bewilderbeast in its place. Look at those pudgy hands with silly sausage fingers. It doesn't look fierce! And of course, a handle awkwardly jutting out of its back. Amazing.
This is a nice set though, it certainly gets the huge scale of this dragon right! At first glance it looks cheap, but the Bewilderbeast has a surprising amount of detail to it!
As is typical of Spin Master, years later I noticed that they re-released the Drago's Bewilderbeast set because they decided to correct Toothless' two red tail fins.

Morpho Pods
Size: 1 inch
Distribution: US only
Manufacturer: Nabi/Fuhu (2014)
Complete set: No 1/6 (completed dragons), 5/18 (individual pods)
This is... very unusual. You have to buy them in sections (head, body, and tail). It has much nicer details than I thought it would, though! It looks a little messy and weird when built together though.
These stupid things have given me such a massive headache. First I assumed they were all produced, but then after seeing no evidence of any of them except for Toothless, I thought maybe only he existed. BUT THEN I found a bloody wing pod for Meatlug and Belch and Barf. So the other dragons DO exist, they just seem to be insanely rare compared to Toothless. The hunt is back on, I guess. Right now I've completed Toothless, and have the wing pods for Meatlug and Belch and Barf. I need all pieces for Stormfly, Hookfang, and Racing Toothless, and I need the head and tail pods for Meatlug and Belch and Barf.

Power Dragon Attack Set
Size: 2-5 inches
Distribution: US only
Manufacturer: Spin Master (2014)
Probably my favourite playset! Toothless has his beautiful blue motif, and Cloudjumper is absolutely perfect. Take everything that was wrong with the Power Dragon, and fix it up to get this guy. Actual brown instead of deep red? Check. Actual blue on his tail, spikes, and lower lip? Check. Correct paint job on his head? Checkmate. He's what I always wanted in a Cloudjumper figure!

Ultimate Dragon Heroes Team Set
Size: 4-7 inches
Distribution: US only
Manufacturer: Spin Master (2014)
The box for these was like twice the size it needed to be. It was so BIG.
Anyway, because I nabbed them for a good price, here's the whole group!
Toothless, Snotlout, and Drago are boring and the same as existing figures. But Hookfang is a lovely deeper colour, the Nadder is a beautiful purple and Hiccup has a flight suit!! Wasn't expecting that.

Dragon Heroes Training Arena
Size: ~12 inches with flags (forgot to measure!)
Distribution: US only
Manufacturer: Spin Master (2014)
Complete set: Yes 2/2
The final, and largest, playset! It's wonderfully made and is a really nice arena, but the lack of roof meaning the dragons can just fly out is a bit of a design flaw...
There's actually two versions of this playset! They are exactly the same, except one Toothless has two black tail fins, and one Toothless has a red tail fin. Thanks very much to my friend who helped me solve this mystery of the weird red fin Toothless!

His arms are poseable for some reason, so Toothless can wiggle his little arms as he flaps around! It's seriously super fun to make him fly around. Hookfang is much rarer for some reason, but I've got him at last!

Size: 4 inches

Manufacturer: Spin Master (2014)
Yes, it's exactly the same as the previous figure. At least as far as I can tell; I haven't actually compared them side by side yet. But I saw the different box and went MUST HAVE. I am weak. But it's a pretty box! Look, it's all pink and pretty!
EDIT: After having actually compared them, there is one small difference. Check out the tail fins! The HTTYD2 one has the "correct" skull, while the DoB has a skull and cross bones.
