"Everything I know about every toy I know of" - Gobber, probably
Welcome to The Dragon Catalogue! Here you will find information about every single HTTYD figure and plush that I know about. Unlike my main site, which documents items in my personal collection, these pages will feature items whether I own them or not. These are the rules I followed for making this catalogue:
- I tried to avoid using my own photos and use stock art as much as possible, but for some of the rarer/more obscure items, this was unavoidable. If I accidentally used your photo and you'd like credit/for me to remove it, just ask!
- Use ctrl + f on a page to search for something specific
- Only including items that I can confirm to exist. I do not include items based off speculation, hearsay, or someone claiming they saw one once. Only items that I can verify actually exist with photos. Stock art is not enough to prove an item exists; there are many examples of stock art of toys that were never released or ended up looking very different to the stock art. If you know I've missed something out and want me to include, please send me a photograph of the item and as much details as possible and I will credit you. A random toy can still be a bootleg, so please include as much information as possible so I can research to verify if it's official.
- Only including toys of characters, including the sheep. I will not be including anything that just focuses on scenery, objects, or totally unrelated characters (I'm looking at you, HTTYD Dragon Eggs).
- Figures and plush ONLY. I'm not including any flat items, only 3D models. Plush only includes soft toys, and does not include soft items with another primary purpose, e.g. cushions. Figures includes 3D models whether they are plastic, resin, etc. I will not include models that are permanently attached to a non-figure object, or are not fully 3D, e.g. cup lids, mugs. I will also not include 3D puzzles as they are primarily puzzles, and not figures.
- I only include repeated figures if there is a significant difference in packaging/tags. A simple change of language (e.g. between Shrek's Adventure and Heide Park) or minor changes to text do not count as a new individual item e.g. the PCO Group plush, which have been released in many parks but with only minor changes to the text/language on the tags. However items with packaging that is very different (e.g. brand new text that is not altered from before, colours, or images), is counted. However I have made sure to differentiate them from the set total as most people don't collect packaging variations.
- This goes without saying, but official stuff only.
- I have not included prototypes or errors, as they tend to be one-offs. Only items that are available to the general public, although a couple of errors were mass produced, so they are included.
I hope this catalogue is useful to fellow collectors, or anyone interested in toy history!
