DreamWorks Fine Art Hiccup & Toothless Statue
Size: 12 inches
Distribution: US only
Number: 2/15
Manufacturer: Kyle Millard (via DreamWorks Fine Art - 2013)
This is... just beyond beautiful. This sculpture is beautiful in ways that other sculptures can only pathetically dream of. Other sculptures cry themselves to sleep at night, knowing that they can only feebly attempt to scratch at the throne of perfection on which this sculpture sits. Well, except the sculptures found over on my Customs page. Those guys are beautiful babies who are more like princes to this king of a statue.
Were it not for the fact that I saved up to buy it almost immediately after seeing it, it would've been my second Holy Grail. It honestly takes ages to appreciate all the little details on this piece. It was expensive, but worth every penny. Everything about it is perfect! Toothless' colour, his expressive eyes, his teeny tiny scales, his mottled grey pattern, Hiccup's prosthetic leg, how it flawlessly captures the bond between the two... everything! Is! Perfect! To anyone with spare money...buy this statue! Hell, I don't even care if you have spare money! Take out a loan! A mortgage! Anything to get one!
This is honestly, without a shadow of doubt, the most beautiful thing in my collection, and easily among my top favourite items. It's even more special as it's handmade, and the second one ever made out of such a small number! I'll cherish this piece forever!
**There's conflicting information about the exact edition number - my statue claims 15, but the official release claimed 25. I imagine the discrepancy is either due to an artist's proof release of 10 additional statues, or there may be a set of 15 artist's proofs (including mine), plus 25 "regular" ones meaning a total of 40. I don't believe there's as many as 40 in existence, so I'm inclined to believe the first option. It could also be that originally 15 were created, but a further 10 or 25 were then produced due to demand.

Crew Exclusive Baby Gronckle Statue
Size: 6 inches
Distribution: US only
Number: 81/300
Manufacturer: DreamWorks Animation (2011)
I'm so happy to own this and I still can't believe that I do! This is a statue given out to crew members who helped create Gift of the Night Fury. Since the short film's release in 2011, I've never seen a single other one! While the Gronckle is generally among my least favourite dragons, this statue is just too cute! Look at how pudgy she is! In addition to being amazingly rare, she is also amazingly well made. She's got a textured body and base, and her teeth feel like real teeth! Her wings are made of a different material and are slightly (VERY slightly) flexible. The eyes are a little... intense, though. Just don't look at her face-on.
She's truly amazing and I feel honored to give this chubby little baby a loving home!
She will be cherished here forever!

Comic Book Cover Original Sketch - Aaron Lopresti
Size: 27 inches
Distribution: N/A - Unique
Manufacturer: Aaron Lopresti (2012)
I am so lucky and proud to have won this! HTTYD has a new line of comics coming out soon-ish, and Mr Lopresti is clearly illustrating some. He kindly donated this draft sketch to a charity auction and I won it! This is the original, one of a kind sketch to the final cover (seen here!). This is no copy - you can tell just by the pencil lines that it's the original in all its magnificent glory. This has skyrocketed to one of my most favourite collection pieces!

Original Animation Pencils
Size: 12 inches
Distribution: US only
Numbers: 15, 17, 19, 33
Manufacturer: Rick Farmiloe (2010)
Since HTTYD is all computer animation, I never thought I'd have the chance to own any original animation. But thankfully, Legend of the Boneknapper Dragon had some traditionally animated clips! They all only involved Gobber, but that's fine because Gobber is awesome and underrated. A good few of these (I think they're called pencil tests?) have appeared on eBay, but I've picked up these four so far, and I'm so lucky to own the ones that I do! Each one is authentic (you can see the indents of the pencil marks on the back) and signed off by the animator! These are literally one of a kind and I'm so happy to have them for my collection! Each one is so stunning and special!

"Toothless Rides Amtrak!" Drawing - Tim Johnson
Size: 14.5 inches (side with drawing)
Distribution: N/A - Unique
Manufacturer: Tim Johnson (2012)
This is among the crown jewels of my collection! It's a quick drawing of Toothless that Tim Johnson (executive producer for HTTYD) did on the Amtrak (some American train). It's drawn on one of those paper sheets they use for table covers. It's a massive blank sheet except for the drawing, so I'm only measuring the side with the drawing.
It's quite literally one of a kind, since it was drawn especially for the person I got it from (he provided authentication). It's super special to me!!

Original Colouring Book Pages
Size: 11 inches
Distribution: N/A - Unique
Manufacturer: Len Simon (no date, ~2010)
These are a treat! These are the original hand drawn pictures that would be scanned and digitized to become pages in official colouring books. Kappa and DreamWorks All-Stars used this artwork. Below I have photographed the original artwork with what ended up in the books! I wish the page with Stoick on a Monstrous Nightmare had been available, but I'm SO happy to have these two pages! One with my most favourite character, and one with my most favourite dragon looking gorgeous! Having one with Hiccup is a nice bonus, too. They are also signed by the artist!

Limited Edition Lithograph
Size: 24 inches
Distribution: US only
Number: 686/2,680
Manufacturer: Paramount/DreamWorks (via Pacific Art Press - 2010)
I say this a lot but, I love this thing! Best poster art! And limited edition!
This item was annoying, though. I didn't know it existed until I found one on eBay, but they wouldn't ship international! So there I was, gazing at this beautiful item which I'd only just discovered, with it just out of my reach. It was so hard finding one that shipped to the UK, but I got it in the end!

Mad Duck Poster Regular Print
Size: 24 Inches
Distribution: Worldwide
Number: 145/250
Manufacturer: Tom Whalen (via Mad Duck Posters - 2018)
Weird story behind this one. I found the rarer purple variant on eBay and bought it. But the seller realised they couldn't ship international and refunded me and I was all 'nooooooooo'. But then they messaged me saying that the website should still have them for sale. So I looked, and they did! And they shipped international! In the end though I went for the regular print, because in the variant version Toothless had purple eyes and it looked kinda weird. At least in this one, they are green. Anyway, I love this print and it's one of my favourites! It has Stoick, Hookfang, and unique Hiccup/Toothless art. Everything I love!

DreamWorks Fine Art - "Run" Laser Cel Print
Size: 8 inches
Distribution: US only
Number: 39
Manufacturer: Sanders Art Studio (~2012)
I got this one pretty cheap ($25) because it's a laser cel print and not a canvas one. It's lovely though, and has Monstrous Nightmare concept art! I sure do love my Monstrous Nightmares!
It's limited edition, as mine is numbered 39. The CoA says open edition though, but likely they were produced to order!

"There Were Dragons" Print
Size: 18 inches
Distribution: Worldwide
Number: 65/400
Manufacturer: Sideshow Inc. (2022)
A throwback to the first film is always a nice surprise! This print is very pretty, and I really love how the dragons look. Especially that majestic Hookfang! Look at his beautiful tail and wings!! The Vikings look a little bit derp, especially Astrid, and I'm SO upset that Fishlegs and Meatlug are missing! This could've been a very beautiful print that honoured the original main group, but they just had to miss out two of the important characters... It's still a really nice print regardless, but it's a bit disappointing because it could've been perfect.

"20 Years of Dreams" Print
Size: 36 inches
Distribution: US only
Number: 20/200
Manufacturer: Dave Perillo (via Dark Ink - 2014)
I managed to pick this up at a steal! It's a stunning pop art-style print, and features some other amazing films (El Dorado, anyone?). HTTYD of course got a great big square, because it's doubly amazing. I really love it so much, it's so bright and eye-catching! It's even signed by the artist!

Forbidden Friendship Print
Size: 11.8 inches
Distribution: Australia
Manufacturer: Impact Posters (2019)
It's technically a poster, but it's very high quality and printed on high quality, sturdy card rather than paper. It displays more like a lithograph! It's also a beautiful scene and it's nice to see the first movie still getting some good treatment and not just stock art stuff! Toothless has such beautiful eyes!!

It's here.
It's finally here.
After two years of searching, it's finally here.
No amount of keysmashing and capslock can express my happiness with this item. I'm so happy to own this item that my emotions have imploded and all I can feel is the calmness before the inevitable fangirl storm. Be still, my heart!
My precious Holy Grail, now safely in my hands.
And even then, its journey was a tough one! First, it took years to find the thing. Then, after winning the auction, three weeks went by and it seemed the deputy service had lost track of it. Then it showed up in their US storage for some reason. Then it took weeks for it to be shipped to me, then it got held up at customs, and then finally it's here! I attacked the box and then, barely able to restrain my excitement, I set it on my shelf where it belongs.
It's absolutely stunning, too. Big and heavy, and with a 3D relief effect, it's so beautiful
My fellow collector helped me find it, and as promised, I provided a gift!
