Acme Archives "A Night Fury and His Rider" Statue
Size: 12 inches
Distribution: US only
Manufacturer: Kyle Millard (via Acme Archives - 2015)
I didn't think we'd be seeing another one of these! Yes, for the second movie, we've been blessed with a second statue. It's just as beautiful as the first, but obviously has a hell of a lot more detail to it! Blame HTTYD2's complicated character designs. Not that that's a bad thing; it just means more time I can spend appreciating it! I was so happy that a second one was made, that I bought it as soon as I could! I even shared it around with my collector buddies so that everyone could own this glorious baby! That's how special it is! Much like the original, Toothless has his "true" mottled grey colour, and the expression in his eyes is stunning. He is by far the most accurate Toothless I have ever seen! And I can't even begin to talk about my admiration for Hiccup, and all those insane details on him. Seriously. Amazing. This guy isn't limited edition in the same sense as before, but he is only available for a limited time so you people better act fast if you want him!! Trust me, it's worth every penny. Plus, the first one has never reappeared for sale since it sold out, so this is likely to be your only chance to get one! The whole piece is really breathtaking, and it's nice to see that the original finally has something that can match its magnificence! Now I have the pair standing proudly together, and I couldn't be happier. These are the centre pieces of my collection, and it fills me with love every time I look at them!

Crew Exclusive Stoick Statue
Size: 9 inches
Distribution: US only
Manufacturer: DreamWorks Animation (2014)
Let me just start this entry by saying AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I CAN'T BELIEVE I OWN THIS
This limited edition statue was given out to the crew of HTTYD2. It doesn't state the exact edition number anywhere, but rest assured that this is very, very rare and very, very limited.
This beautiful statue depicts Stoick in all his glory, and is a wonderful tribute to the Chief of Berk.
Words fail to express how grateful I am to have him here in my collection; I love limited edition, exclusive stuff anyway, but of my favourite character from the whole franchise?! It feels like a dream.
I never thought I'd ever see one for real, until my friend was lucky enough to get one of his own. Then another popped up, and I bid like mad. I was outbid at the last second, and Stoick sold for over $1,000. Then mere weeks later, I grabbed this guy for $425. Less than half the price. See, people? It doesn't pay to snipe!
I was very lucky that mine also came with the original message card, which I'm going to pretend was totally for me.

20th Anniversary Crew Exclusive Toothless Bobblehead
Size: 5 inches
Distribution: US only
Manufacturer: Kloanz (2014)
Oh man you would not BELIEVE how hard this was to get. I've only ever seen two for sale. TWO. And I have one of them here. He's worth a bomb, too. But he is completely worth it!! He's absolutely adorable and very well sculpted; he looks just like Toothless is meant to, which is rare for official merchandise! He's smaller than expected, but don't let his size fool you because he is on the top level of official merchandise in existence!
I was actually contacted by someone whose mother was a DreamWorks employee, and they said that this Toothless was actually a crew exclusive item given out a 20th Anniversary party!

Sideshow Toothless Statue
Size: 12 inches
Distribution: Worldwide
Number: 2331/3250
Manufacturer: Sideshow Inc. (2017/2018)
Anyone else who ordered one of these babies knows how long we had to wait for one. First scheduled for release in November, then December, then January 2018! But, finally he is here! Unlike the other statues he doesn't have a Hiccup, but what he lacks in Hiccup he makes up for in detail! He is insanely detailed, and his harness and saddle are so perfect they look like you could take them right off him! He has a beautiful shiny pattern to his wings which gives a lovely scale impression, and he is posed so majestically. The detail in his anatomy is perfect; it really looks like he has muscular structure and his claws are gripping the base! Of course, he's got that adorable face we all know and love, and even a beautiful blue metallic sheen to him, showing his alpha status (complete with double scales)! He is a lot more affordable than the Fine Art statues too, but sadly this is because he is a little more "mass produced". For one thing, he comes in a nice box and requires some assembly, but this does help prevent damage during shipping. He has also got a much, much larger release - Considering the first two Fine Art statues had a run of about 10-20 statues each, this Toothless is, like, 300 times more common than they are! That can be seen as a good thing though, because it means more people can get one of these beautiful babies! His box is massive and I couldn't fit it in the photo with him, so it's below.

Taka Corp. Hiccup & Toothless Statue
Size: 14.5 inches
Distribution: Worldwide
Number: 296/888
Manufacturer: Taka Corp. Studios (2021/2022)
People take one look at this statue's size and lose their minds, and that's not a good thing. It's like the massive size makes people overlook the very obvious flaws and I'm not sure why. I'm not a "bigger is better" person, and a huge statue the weight of a small child does not mean it's the best statue just because it's the biggest. I actually rate this statue quite low in accuracy! Hiccup is missing his freckles, but he's otherwise totally perfect and easily the most impressive part of the statue. Hiccup looks truly amazing! Toothless, on the other hand... Probably his worst statue. His face looks very funky, as he's got an underbite/snout issue. The wings just crack me up every time too, they stick out at almost right angles and it looks like the shrug emoji ( ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ). The size is actually the main thing I dislike about this piece, and I feel 1:8 scale would be much better than 1:6. It works on a single statue, but having a whole line of 1:6 statues is not something I'm looking forward to. Toothless has also has way too much blue on him, and the magnets for his scales were incredibly annoying and easy to come loose. So Toothless is unfortunately nothing to lose your mind over. However, Hiccup totally is! He's amazingly accurate (except for the freckles), and they really got all the crazy little details on his suit right. Best of all, Hiccup comes with interchangeable hands and heads. He can either be wearing his helmet or not, and he can have his hand open with his sword on his hip, or you can remove both and have his hand holding the sword. It's really nice to be able to display him however you want! The sculpting on the ice and fire is impressive too! The quality of the statue is excellent, it's very solid and sturdy, and the paint job is flawless. Honestly, rating this statue is very difficult for me. The ice base, the fire, and Hiccup are almost totally perfect and incredible, but Toothless and the size of the thing knock quite a few points off. All in all, probably one of my lesser favourite statues, but not the worst by any means, and still a really special item in the collection! It does at least give a really powerful appearance, and it depicts an awesome scene instead of being the generic "character on rock" that most of the other statues do!

Taka Corp. Toothless PVC Figure
Size: 6 inches
Disitribution: Worldwide
Manufacturer: Taka Corp. Studios (2022/2023)
Taka Corp.'s second HTTYD figure and it is... underwhelming. Don't get me wrong, there's quite a few nice things about him! First is the size, he's so much smaller and easier to display than the statue, which is always a plus. Second is that he's pretty affordable. I also like how his face looks, especially his eyes. He's very cute! However the rest of the body is... interesting. From the front he looks like he's meant to be a laying down position, like the stock art, but from the back he looks like he's crawling or crouching. His claws are also too long, and his tail fins are too small in proportion to his body. I don't normally get hypercritical on figures, but this was sold as a luxery collector's item with a matching price tag, so I feel the quality should be higer. Overall, not a bad figure at all! He looks good and will look fantastic on a display shelf! But he's not super duper accurate for the price he is sold for.

"Monstrous Felty Nightmare" - Acme Archives Charity Auction
Size: ~5 inches
Distribution: N/A - Unique
Manufacturer: Hannah Sherman (via Acme Archives, 2014)
At last, I have this! When the Tribute Art Exhibition was going on, my friend showed me all the art pieces so I could pick out what I wanted. I also asked her to pick this up for me, but it turned out it wasn't available because it was a one-of-a-kind piece going to be sold at a charity auction. I pretty much gave up hope there and then... when it turned out the charity auction was being held on eBay! I went in, guns blazing, and won him! There was no way I wasn't winning him... I had wanted him too bad for too long. The other pieces were nice... but not nearly as nice as this perfection. I wanted at least one item to represent the charity auction in my collection, and it just so happens that it's the one item I wanted the most too!
Now bow down to his needle-felted glory! The most perfect Monstrous Nightmare head in existence!

Original Toothless Drawing - Dean DeBlois
Size: 15 inches
Distribution: N/A - Unique
Manufacturer: Dean DeBlois (2015)
I'm gonna be able to start a mini-collection of original Toothless drawings soon. Here's another, from the director himself! This one was done when he was at the Annie Awards Ceremony. He's even signed it! And it came with some pictures of him actually drawing the thing, but it's weird to post them here, so I won't. Anyway, this drawing is beautiful! Toothless is so chubby and cute, and I'm honored to own not one, but TWO original drawings from the HTTYD crew. And two such important people to boot, I was so happy I could have cried!

Crew Exclusive DreamWorks Apollo Film Frame
Size: 6 inches
Distribution: US only
Manufacturer: DreamWorks Animation (date unknown; likely 2014)
WHAT A FIND!!
I've never seen one of these before! It's a beautiful framed scene from the movie, given out exclusively to animators who work for DreamWorks. The unusual text on the frame is about DreamWork's own animation software, Apollo. DreamWorks and Intel created Apollo to help make animating movies quicker and better. There's a really interesting article all about it here, with lots of Dragons!
"Tiber Premo Pipeline" refers to the animation software.
"Moonlight Torch Ignite" refers to the lighting software.
The piece is to celebrate the success of their Apollo software, and honestly, just go read the article because it's very interesting and Apollo was pivotal to the creation of HTTYD2!

Same thing as the ones below? Not quite! While they have the same information, these guys have pin badges instead of cels! I don't know which I like more! I have always had a soft spot for pins though... and these are BIG pins...
Once again, these were picked up for me. I actually have no idea how one would get them in the first place. But I have amazing friends who also seem to have some amazing contacts!
These character keys, combined with the ones below, are in my top favourite items of all my collection! They are also ridiculously hard to photograph thanks to my refusal to take their plastic off.

Tribute Art Exhibition Pieces & Event Card
Size: Various
Distribution: US only
Number: 12/200 (Dawn of the Alphabet; signed), 13/150 (Father and Son; signed), 6/150 (How to Play with Your Dragon), 7/125 (How to Tame Your Dragon), 8/100 (This Is Berk; signed), 10/125 (Tiny Tooth), 6/50 (Valka; signed), 1/100 (Inside the Dragon Lair)
Manufacturer: Various (All sold via Acme Archives - 2014)
So many of these! I was lucky enough to have a friend who could visit the art exhibition and she generously picked me up my favourite prints! I'm not usually one for any Fine Art, but these are so reasonably priced, who could resist! To the left is a post card from the event. All of these babies are hand numbered and a couple are even signed! I love each and every one of them.
"Father and Son" is a beautiful (and heart-wrenching, thank you HTTYD2) piece, and since I love Stoick this is even more special!
"Dawn of the Alphabet" is just super cute and has Hookfang and Cloudjumper together!! And a cutie patootie Eret.
"How to Play with Your Dragon" really reminds me of Calvin and Hobbes and has bonus points for being just as cute. This one hangs in my bedroom!
"This is Berk" is stunning, I love how the dragons make a beautiful scene that does Nordic art proud.
And last but not least, "How to Tame Your Dragon" has a beautifully painted Hookfang (always an A* in my book) as well as a pretty funny scene!
I strongly recommend picking up at least one!! These are so amazing, and some of the best items I own!! My latest prints are a couple of Valka-focused ones; she's easily one of the best female characters EVER! The one with her and Cloudjumper is so magnificent.
And finally, that "Inside the Dragon Lair" is incredibly special. A friend of mine won the #1 print in a contest, but decided that the fact she won was more important than the print itself, and didn't care for the scene that much, so she offered to sell it me! I still remember the day she was announced as the winner and how happy I was for her! The contest was a story contest, and I'm terrible at writing so I didn't enter, but I can't believe I now own the #1 print of something!

"Toothless and the Dragons of Berk" Art Print
Size: 18 inches
Distribution: Worldwide
Number: 128/250
Manufacturer: Sideshow Inc. (2018)
A stunning piece of art to go with Sideshow's Toothless Statue! This art is obviously inspired by the statue, and also features beautiful scenery and the other dragons. This was first released framed, but was the same price as the sculpture. Personally, I think a 2D art print and a fully 3D sculpture can't really compare and shouldn't be priced the same. Thankfully, the framed ones didn't sell too well, so the art prints were sold as-is without one! At a much, much more reasonable price, I had to grab one! The frame wasn't even anything fancy - not a special HTTYD frame or anything. A much better deal! Sideshow managed to spell Toothless wrong on the shipping tube, though.

"How to Know Your Dragon" Artist's Proof Print
Size: 24 inches
Distribution: Worldwide
Number: 8/15 (AP)
Manufacturer: Dave Perillo (Via Phenom Gallery, 2019)
I love prints like this where it's a one-off unique print and not got all sorts of variants. This print has beautiful, totally unique art! I love how it combines the classic images of the dragons, with a nice design twist from the artist. It also works as a guide to the dragons, and has information on them. This will look AMAZING when displayed! What makes this print even more special, is that it's an artist's proof. The actual print has a limited edition of 200, but artist's proofs are much rarer. Here's what this art website says about artist's proofs:
"When an artist is checking the colour and quality of the limited edition he will receive proofs.
Traditionally, Artist's Proofs, remained the property of the artist.
Artist's Proofs are exactly the same in terms of how they are printed, the colours, quality of printing, paper etc. Artists number them and with the mark A/P. Artists sign them too, exactly the same as with the limited editions.
There are not as many artists proofs released however. Normally only 10-15% of the limited edition run is released as Artist's Proofs."
So this lovely print isn't missing any of the quality of a "normal" print, but its run is just much rarer. This particular print had an artist's proof number of only 15!

Mexican Blockbuster Lithograph
Size: 11 inches
Distribution: Mexico only
Manufacturer: Blockbuster (2014)
What an unusual piece! A lithograph exclusive to Mexico is unique on its own, but this one is pretty much considered a relic over here... Blockbuster. They closed down business years and years ago, but are apparently still thriving in Mexico! That's probably my favourite thing about this lithograph. That, and that it's slightly embossed which looks really cool. Sadly I don't know much else about it, like how it was available and how many there are.

Ornaments
Hallmark Keepsake Ornament
Size: 2.5 inches
Distribution: US only
Manufacturer: Hallmark Cards (2014)
Somehow they managed to trump last year's ornament! This ornament, while made of a less beautiful material, is so well made that it's just magnificent. They look like they stepped right out of the film!
Unfortunately, other people have seen just how amazing this ornament is and are charging 3x it's store price on eBay. Fortunately, I had a generous friend who offered to pick one up for me! Christmas will truly be perfect this year!

Promotional Glitter Globe
Size: ~6.5 inches
Distribution: UK only(?)
Manufacturer: RDP Creative (2014)
This is a rare beauty! There were none on eBay ever until early 2015, when suddenly there were quite a few. They're very in-demand though, and fetch high prices on eBay! And can you blame them? It's beautiful! It's large and heavy, and Hiccup and Toothless are very well-sculpted, although Toothless' face has some serious derp goin' on. Also, there is SO MUCH GLITTER.

DreamWorks Collection Fève
Size: 1 inch
Distribution: France only
Manufacturer: La Mie Caline (2018)
A little disappointed that there's only one HTTYD fève in this set, but at least it's a super cute one! Toothless is in an adorable sitting up pose, and looks more like a kitty than ever before! I love the uniqueness of this!

Macy's Parade 2014 Snow Globe
Size: 8 inches (box), ~5-6 inches (snow globe)
Distribution: US only
Manufacturer: Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (2014)
What a lovely, random item! I like snow globes, and now I finally have an excuse to own one! I don't know if it does anything other than play music, but it sure looks lovely. Well, the Toothless balloon does, anyway. I don't care about anything else. It's actually a really nicely painted ornament, and Toothless is very cute! Such a shame that he's trapped for eternity, though. Sorry Toothless!
I'll never own the actual Macy's balloon (I know, I was heartbroken too), but this will be a fine substitute!

Toothless Piggy Bank
Size: 6 inches
Distribution: US
Manufacturer: FAB Starpoint (2015)
Ok, this is great. A Toothless bank is one thing, but a Toothless piggy bank is something else. This one is just adorable, and manages to look a lot like both a pig and Toothless. He has a cute piggy snout and ears, but Toothless claws and scales. I've never seen one of these before, so I'm pleased to have found him!

Christmas Tree Ornament
Size: 1 inch (hang tag), 4.8 inches (red box)
Distribution: US only
Manufacturer: Hallmark (2014)
Complete set: No 2/3
I bought this guy thinking he was a large-ish ceramic/glass ornament, like the Keepsake one. Imagine my surprise when this tiny rubber thing popped out of the package! He sure is a cutie, though, and I don't love him any less! This figure was actually released three times - one with a hang tag, one with a red box, and one with a black box. From what I can tell, the models are all the same and the only difference is the packaging.

Build and Grow
Size: 2 inches (patch), 8 inches (certificate), 10 inches (bags)
Distribution: US only
Manufacturer: Lowe's (2014)
Complete set: Yes 2/2
A DIY wooden Toothless, ready to teach children everywhere how dangerous nails and hammers can be. I don't see this backfiring in any way, no sir. I have actually put together the sheep one. It actually came out pretty well so I'm pleased. And I hardly hurt myself at all!
The patch is super cute too, and the certificate is nice! I actually quite like Monsters vs Aliens!
